Treasure Map: Manifesting the year

So a friend of mine turned me on to the Treasure Mapping thread on Mothering.com It's basically a collage of things you want in the coming year. Of course, it's really a form of magic, a way of focusing your energy and manifesting what you want for your life. I know it works, it is the reason I'm here in Asheville. I visualized not just being here but our actual backyard with the meadow and mountain view. Finding our place was one of the more powerful spiritual experiences I've ever had.

Treasure Maps are made during the Aries new moon. Aries new moon change from year to year and this year, it will take place on April 17, 2007 Note at 11:35 GMT (so minus for US times) -- 27 degrees 05 . They are made on Aries new moon, because that is the first sign of the zodiac. Aries is when you plant your seeds. It is the real beginning of the new year. It should not be confused with the first day of spring which is usually on March 19 or March 20. New moon means the sun and moon are in the same degree. For those who don't know much about astrology (which is totally okay) Aries is the sign of SIGHT. So, that's why it is so important to have pictures of what you want. YOu need to visualize it. Or if you don't do photos/pictures.. put up words. It is just important for you to SEE THEM.

So what I'm supposed to be doing right now is decluttering. I've already started the process, I got the house actually clean for company last weekend. Despite the fact that I only have 22 days before the new starts, I think I can make some real progress, particularly if I put some focused energy into it. I always work with a deadline. According to the thread: "Try if you can to clear some space in your life so you can be ready for the treasure map. Remember, Einstein said, "NO TWO THINGS CAN OCCUPY THE SAME SPACE." Read that several times... now ask yourself, do I have space in my house, my family, my time, my life in general for more? If the answer is no. Then start housecleaning!"

A lot of people talk about manifesting money and material things. I respect that but I'm feeling a pull in a different direction. Although I envision a move over the next year my initial reaction is that my desires are more creative and spiritual this year. They say don't have too many expectations about what your map is going t look like, what pops into your mind when the time is upon us may be different because of the astrological shift.

I noticed that somebody is actually hitting my blog, so I'd better post! I just finally saw An Inconvenient Truth and, of course, we're having unseasonably warm weather. It is amazing to me that so many people are working to try and disprove the theory of global warming. I heard Thom Hartmann say on the radio (paraphrasing here) so what if we're wrong and this is not happening, and we make some changes, nothing happens. But what is the price for our children and grandchildren if global warming is happening and we do nothing to try and stop it?

It totally floors me that some people (corporations) are so unwilling to change. I ask myself what difference could changing to florescent lightbulbs really make? But I'm doing it anyway and hoping for the best...
